How can we help?

By now it seems clear to all that last year’s “Summer of Recovery” wasn’t.  So in these uncertain economic times we want to encourage current and prospective patients alike to ask how we can help them obtain the treatments they need.  We have been privileged to help many with reduced fees, payment plans through our partner companies, and alternative therapies which may be covered by insurance or just more affordable.  We look forward to helping you in the near future.

Not just on the Sci-Fi channel anymore…

Robotically assisted surgery is now a reality, and a large percentage of previously ‘open’ procedures are now being safely accomplished with this new technology.  What this means is that procedures that formerly required a large (“open”) incision can now be done with a series of smaller incisions.  This allows for same-day surgery in some cases and reduced hospital stay in others. It also significantly reduces recovery time for these procedures.

Previously, hysterectomy was the principle Gyn procedure performed with robotic assistance.  Now, many conservative, uterus and ovary – sparing operations can be performed as well.  This includes operations for fibroids, severe scar tissue, large ovarian cysts, advanced-stage endometriosis, and others.

Dr. Keenan is the area’s only Reproductive Endocrinologist/ Fertility specialist who is experienced and certified in Robotic surgery.  If you have been told that your operation MUST be performed with a large incision, or that hysterectomy is your only option, please feel free to schedule a second opinion consultation with us to see if Robotic-assisted surgery may be right for you.

No longer ‘new kids’…

Although Autumn and Kelly are no longer the new kids on the block, we have had such an overwhelmingly positive response to their professionalism and great attitudes that we are going to keep their photos and bios up for another quarter.  Please give them a call or schedule an appointment to see them at any time!

AutumnMeet our new Nurse Practitioner! Autumn Galbraith, WHNP, recently joined our practice to assist in decreasing the backlog of patients waiting to be seen. Autumn recently graduated from the University of Tennessee Masters Program and is already proving to be a valuable asset to our practice. We have already had numerous positive comments about her knowledge and compassion (and her stylish dress!). Please join us in welcoming Autumn and refer your friends and neighbors as well!

KellyAND – Meet our new IVF nurse coordinator! Kelly Buckley, RN, has recently taken over for Jennifer Garcia, who is still doing part-time work for us. Kelly comes to us with great experience and an even greater attitude and we are very fortunate to have her. Once again, we have already received numerous comments on her professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help. You will love working with Kelly, so please feel free to stop in and meet her or send an email to : IVFnurse@tds.net.
